About DaversE
Initially DAVERSE was created by Damus Smith and Edwin Milller, but now is soley ran by Damus Smith. DAVERSE was created with the intent to just create more money with the desire of building wealth for themselves. I thought by creating something unique and different would help us sell more clothing and make more money. This is where the name DAVERSE came from. DAVERSE was a spin off the word DIVERSE (meaning different). Through my journey I went through several partnership, friendships, and many heartaches, headaches, and heartbreaks and in the process accumulated over $100000 dollars in debt trying to grow the company. Through all the struggles and setbacks God has given me a testimony through my journey. God replaced the worldly dream where it was just about my needs and transformed DAVERSE to a Kingdom Dream where DAVERSE is now used to advance God’s Kingdom. God has given me the vision to use DAVERSE to transform not conform.
DAVERSE is a clothing ministry. The goal is to get people to STOP CONFORMING AND START TRANSFORMING. By focusing on God’s Dream and not a Worldly Dream God has renewed my mind through his word and blessed me with the DAVERSE Concept. DAVERSE is inspired by Christ. From the intricate designs in our collection to the tagline of the company our goal is to save souls through clothes. Our tagline is derived from Romans 12:2 where God tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. God doesn’t want us to conform to the world. DAVERSE is a style of life that represents your lifestyle. So many people today want to be like everybody else. It's common to see people using or selling drugs, swearing, or just plain sinning. Sinning is popular today. What is uncommon is those who walk upright, those who are righteous, and those who follow God’s word not Satan’s world.
I believe that the enemy (Satan) is doing everything he possibly can to destroy GOD’S People. Satan attacks us through many ways. It can be our health, entertainment, and now he is attacking us through clothing. Just look at some of the clothing brands out today. Just like the power in the tongue there is also power in what you wear. If you wear something promoting evil then you’re glorifying the devil. You’re giving him power. DAVERSE doesn’t focus on conforming to what is popular today we focus on transforming our people to follow Gods way.
Through building a relationship with Jesus Christ and following his lead I am now debt free and DAVERSE is now used to spread the Gospel and let everyone know they can also be free. They can be free from the shackles of the enemy if they accept Jesus Christ in their heart as their Lord and Savior!
